Sushil Nadkarni to lead Houston in Intercity Cup
Sushil Nadkarni will lead the Houston XI in the first match. My special thanks to him for accepting the role and to support our efforts to groom youngsters. The team will be picked based on the guidelines below and will be announced soon.
Guidelines to pick Intercity team:
1. 15 members squad will be picked for each game.
2. We will pick only 4 senior players (CW and Major tournaments and/or 30+ group)
3. We will pick at least 3 new players that have never been selected for CW or Intercity before
4. We might have a new captain for each game so that they get exposure to lead at this level.
5. 3 slots are reserved for players emerging out of U-19 team with an intention to give at least 2 of them a chance in playing XI at least once.
6. We will Rotate players as needed for each game
7. Emphasis will be on winning the tournament and depending on how things go after 1st game we will plan the rest.
